  • Onsite In-Home Treadmill Repair - What to expect?

    • Schedule a technician to come out to your home or place of business.
    • The technician will run diagnostic tests to find any problems you may be having.
    • If parts are needed we will provide an Estimate the next business day.
    • We'll inspect for other possible issues that cause fitness equipment breakdown.
    • If NO parts are needed to repair your fitness equipment our technician will
      complete the necessary repairs and perform a FULL maintenance during the first visit.

Many treadmill problems can be repaired without parts. Minor/major adjustments and or lack of regular general maintenance may have your treadmill, elliptical or recumbent bike sounding like it's falling apart. Onsite has the experience to diagnose underlying issues.

Manufacture Part Warranty

PART WARRANTY is based on manufactures warranty listed for each part.

Motors and frame components may have additional warranty compared to some other parts like rollers and belts which typically have a 30-90 day warranty.

Part failure due to neglect may be voided by the manufacture. This is why Preventive Maintenance and trained technicians are needed to properly diagnose the issue not just replace bad parts.

  • Stretched loose drive motor belt

    Stretched loose drive motor belt

    This drive belt has stretched and twists over the recommended no more than 45 degrees twist from flat. The stretched drive belt will need either tightened or replaced depending on wear. Some belts are 'Stretch Belts' with no motor adjustment.

    Motor drive belts are best tightened no more than 45 degrees twist. Newer treadmills come with stretch belts that are twisting only 30 degrees from flat position.

    Cleaning components under the hood help from debris sucking up inside the motor and coating electrical components. Onsite techs have seen almost everything under the hood.
  • Properly spaced speed reed sensor to roller

    Properly spaced speed reed sensor to roller

    The typical spacing of your speed reed sensor aligned with the roller magnet is 1/4". Some models very from 1/8" to 3/8". Adjust between these spacing until the speed has a steady reading on the console with distance progressing. Some treadmills do not have a sensor.

    Proper diagnostics can be performed with a simple voltage meter. Onsite technicians always utilize voltage meters to properly diagnose equipment.

    Another technician, not from Onsite had used red Locktight to stop a drive belt from slipping. This gunked up the roller pulley grooves so bad the gunk clogged the pulley ribs made it under the walk belt. This gunk caused so much friction blowing the control board. Cleaning took over 2 hours before reassembling installing a new walkbelt and control board

    A Columbus technician, not from Onsite had used red Locktight to stop a drive belt from slipping. This gunked up the roller pulley grooves so bad the gunk had made it onto the walkbelt which then blew the control board. Cleaning took over 2 hours until the parts could be reassembled with a new walkbelt and controller.
